HINET Wi-Fiのサービス内容変更に関するお知らせ/ Notification of Service Changes for HINET Wi-Fi
平素よりキャンパス情報ネットワーク[HINET]の運用にご理解とご協力いただきありがとうございます。
また、今年度末の支線部および無線部(HINET Wi-Fi)の更新作業では、皆様のご協力により予定通り作業が進んでおります。重ねてお礼を申し上げます。
今年度末の機種更新により、HINET Wi-Fi のサービス内容が変更になります。
ポイントは以下の3点です。利用方法等はこれまでと変わりません。

- 学内者用SSIDを「HU-CUP」に統一します
これまでエリアごとに分かれていたSSIDを、全エリアで「HU-CUP」とします。
利用者は「HU-CUP」に接続すると、シームレスにキャンパスの別の建物で利用可能になります。
SSIDの統一作業後(3/25を予定)に最初に接続する際にアカウント名などの認証情報の入力が必要です。 - 原則として5GHz帯 (IEEE 802.11a/ac/ax) のみ提供します
一般にWi-Fiは2.4GHz帯と5GHz帯の2つの周波数帯で提供されています。
今回の更新に伴い、「HU-CUP」は全てのエリアで5GHz帯のみの提供になります。
5GHz帯は2.4GHz帯より電波干渉も少なく、安定した接続が期待されます。
ただし、「eduroam」については講義室以外の共有場所などで2.4GHz/5GHz帯の両方を提供します。
5GHzに非対応の端末をご利用の場合は「eduroam」に接続してください。 - WPA2/WPA3によるセキュリティ強化を行います
「HU-CUP」では無線LAN区間の暗号化方式として WPA2/WPA3 を有効化します。
これにより、よりセキュリティを向上した接続が可能になります。
なお接続する際のIDとパスワードは従来通りIMCアカウントと広大パスワードです。「eduroam」では WPA/WPA2 によるセキュリティを提供します。
WPA2/WPA3に非対応の端末をご利用の場合は「eduroam」に接続してください。

上記の変更作業を 2023年3月25日(土) に予定しています。
作業中は、HINET Wi-Fiサービスが全て停止します。スケジュールについては改めてお知らせします。

The HINET Wi-Fi service will be changed with the upgrade at the end of this fiscal year.
The following three points will change. The usage method will remain the same.

- SSID “HU-CUP” is available in all areas
SSID will be “HU-CUP” in all areas.
When users connect to “HU-CUP”, they will be able to seamlessly use the service in other buildings on campus.
When connecting for the first time “HU-CUP” after maintenance (scheduled for March 25), You will need to enter your IMC account and HIRODAI password. - Only the 5GHz band (IEEE 802.11a/ac/ax) will be provided
In general, Wi-Fi is provided in two frequency bands, 2.4GHz and 5GHz.
With this update, the “HU-CUP” will provide only the 5 GHz band in all areas.
The 5 GHz band is expected to have less radio interference than the 2.4 GHz band, and stable connections are expected.For “eduroam”, both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands will be provided in shared areas other than lecture rooms.
If your device does not support 5GHz, please connect to “eduroam”. - WPA2/WPA3 security enhancement
“HU-CUP” enables WPA2/WPA3 as the encryption method for the wireless LAN.
This enables connections with improved security.”eduroam” provides WPA/WPA2 security.
If your device does not support WPA2/WPA3, please connect to “eduroam”.

The above maintenance is scheduled for Saturday, March 25, 2023.
A part of Wi-Fi services will be stopped during the maintenance.
We will announce the detail of schedule as soon as possible.
