2022年10月13日より、基本認証が廃止となり、広大メールサービスは先進認証のみのサポートとなりました。
2022年10月1日より、smtp.hiroshima-u.ac.jpは学内限定となりました。
広大メールで利用しているマイクロソフト社のメールサービスは、2022年10月1日に基本認証を廃止し、先進認証のみをサポートすることを発表しています。
これにより、一部のメールソフトでは設定の変更が必要になりますのでお知らせいたします。
また、基本認証の廃止にあわせて、smtp.hiroshima-u.ac.jp の学内限定も2022年10月1日より実施させていただきます。

From October 13, 2022, HIRODAI mail service has been supported for advanced authentication only.
From October 1, 2022, smtp.hiroshima-u.ac.jp has been limited to on-campus.
The Microsoft e-mail service used by Hirodai-mail has announced that basic authentication will be discontinued on 1 October 2022, and only advanced authentication will be supported.
It all depends on which e-mailing application is installed on your device, but because of the discontinuation above, you may need to change some of the settings on your e-mailing application.
In parallel with the discontinuation of basic authentication, the use of mail transmission server (smtp.hiroshima-u.ac.jp) is going to be restricted within the university from 1 October 2022.
